How we work
Rather than a wall of thumbnails, here is what actually happens on a project — what is included, what it costs, and what you walk away owning.
What the five weeks actually look like
This is a business website. A starter site runs shorter, a store runs longer, but the shape is the same.
-
Week one — scoping
A call about the business, not the website. Who buys from you, what they ask before they buy, and what the site has to do. You get a written scope, a sitemap and a fixed quote. Nothing is charged until you accept it.
-
Week two — content and structure
We send a content outline telling you exactly what text and images each page needs. If your content is not ready, we build with placeholders so nothing stalls. Page structure and navigation are agreed before any visual design starts.
-
Week three — design
Mobile and desktop layouts for every template, plus the type scale, palette and components that hold them together. Two rounds of revisions are included in the quoted price, not billed as extras.
-
Week four — build
Built on a staging URL you can watch. WordPress unless there is a reason not to, because it is cheap to host, easy to hire for and simple to move. Forms, analytics and search console wired in as we go.
-
Week five — test and launch
Real devices, not just a narrow browser window. Keyboard and contrast checks, Core Web Vitals, redirects mapped from the old site so you keep your rankings. Then a recorded walkthrough so you can run it yourself.
-
After launch
Thirty days of free fixes for anything that does not work as specified. After that, a care plan if you want one — and no hard feelings if you do not.
Things other studios charge extra for
Redirect mapping
Every URL on your old site mapped to its replacement, so a redesign does not quietly destroy the rankings you already had.
Accessibility pass
Contrast, keyboard navigation, real form labels and heading structure. Checked before launch rather than bolted on after a complaint.
Speed work
Image optimisation, caching and Core Web Vitals measured on a real connection, not on a developer's fibre line.
Analytics that mean something
Search Console and conversion tracking configured so an enquiry can be traced back to the search that caused it.
A written handover
Documentation, every credential, and a walkthrough. No support ticket queue standing between you and your own website.
Two rounds of revisions
Quoted in from the start. Changing your mind about a layout is a normal part of design, not a chargeable event.
Published case studies are in preparation
We would rather show nothing than pad this page with stock imagery and invented results. Recent client sites and references are available on request — ask on a scoping call and we will send URLs and contacts you can speak to directly.
Tell us the problem, not the solution.
You do not need a spec. Tell us what is not working and who you are trying to reach, and we will tell you what it takes — including when the honest answer is that a new website is not your bottleneck.
